Last year was a whirlwind of excitement, hard work, and learning. Let’s take a few minutes to reminisce together.
After years of prep, we officially launched our unique playstyles assessment certification training: Playsonality©. As with any long-term and complex project, it wasn’t all smooth sailing to get to the finish line. But now that it’s out, we’re so excited by all the positive feedback we have received. And of course, we’re so happy to have made so many new fans and friends throughout this process. On Oct 17, we officially trained our first full batch of certified Playsonality facilitators who are now ready to take on the world.
In April, we held our first ever Creative Coffee Break for members of the private Strategic Play community. We held the event on April 21, in honor of World Creativity and Innovation Day. Co-hosts Stephen Walling and Col. Jason Trew (TOGA) led a Zoom group discussion on the topic: What is Creativity?
What does it take to become a member of this community? You just have to have taken a full certification with us and you gain complete access.
As you have come to expect, a significant part of 2023 saw us participating in a variety of creative conferences around the world. We even saw many of you there!
In April, we attended the CREA Conference, in Sestri Levante, Italy. We love this conference for its vibrant diversity of cultures and ideas. Jacquie and Sébastien presented on Playsonality, which was well received. So well, in fact, we even acquired new friends who flew to Whistler in October. More on that in a moment.
Many of our Strategic Play facilitators were excited to finally reunite at the Epic International Summit: Uncharted Possibilities. Facilitator Van Lai-Dumone did us the honor of being the official Strategic Play representative to deliver a presentation at this conference we always love.
We also went to NY to present at CPSI. We have been attending this conference since 2006, so we wouldn’t dream of missing it! Here we offered a four-day workshop, Playology: What’s Your Next Strategic Play?
So what happened in October, you may be wondering? We held our first big creativity conference since COVID lockdowns! It was a great reunion of friends learning and playing together again in Whistler. In addition to offering two brand new certification trainings, Playsonality and Elements, we presented the 2023 Trainer of the Year award and sent participants to a variety of fun activities.

And be sure to register for our 2024 Strategic Play Conference, which is taking place at the Dalí Art Museum in Florida. The festivities take place March 18 – 19 and includes the option to get certified in Playsonality on March 20, 2024.
