Tools for LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methods facilitators

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods facilitators are you looking for some new tools to make your workshops more effective, professional and fun?

Here are some great card decks that can help you deliver workshops that really rock!

Lego Explain This Cards

1.   Explain This Cards:

The "Explain This"  cards have been made specifically to support LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods facilitators who want to present a more professional image while adding more creativity into their workshops. These cards replace the original 6 printed sheet examples that were in the training materials originally created by the LEGO® Systems Group. We have created each card to have 4 unique statements that are used for the skill-building process of story-making. The cards are full of great ideas that focus on pop culture, economic, political, and socially relevant conditions, with some psychiatric terms and everyday references added for fun.

The package includes 25 different cards in a deck, with the box holding two sets.

2.  Visual Discovery Cards

The Visual Discovery Cards have been developed specifically to jump-start LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods workshops and begin introducing the concepts of metaphors and storytelling in a very safe and easy way. From our expansive experience working globally with corporations, we know professional-looking materials that are presented in a neutral and objective way build confidence as people “step” into creativity. These cards can be used for a multitude of activities, everything from introductions to visioning, to retrospectives, to feedback loops, to ideation and problem-solving.

This set holds 75 different photo cards.

3. Retrospective Cards

The retrospective cards have been developed specifically to support LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods facilitators; however, these cards can be used by many kinds of practitioners in a variety of applications. They can also be used alone or with the Visual Discovery Cards. You can use them for storytelling, for describing events, for feedback loops, debriefs, and retrospectives. When searching for the right words creates a disconnect or people spend too much time “wordsmithing,” these cards fast-track the conversation to get to the heart of the meaning.

The card decks contain 50 positive and 50 negative words.

4. Superhero and Villain Cards

This is one of our favorite sets because we know people are using them to make the world a better place. We developed the cards to support LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods facilitators to use in opening and closing workshops, but we have been amazed to see how many other different types of practitioners are using these cards. These cards are showing up everywhere from branding workshops to therapy sessions. And it’s fine if you don’t really know the attributes of the superhero or villain, storytellers use the cards to create and make their own stories and project their own insights into the stories they make. These cards are designed as story starters, but they can help bring deep level insights into conversations by asking the participants to identify a person, a brand, a product, a service, a community, an event, a vacation, or a project—the possibilities are endless—with a card or two, that helps to tell the story. Now get ready to be surprised by the superhero power of these cards.

The deck comes with 25 heroes and 25 villains. There are no words on the cards, just an excellent photo of the mini-figures being awesome.
