In November, our journey took us to the beautiful province of Saskatchewan. Here we had the pleasure of leading a Playsonality™ workshop for the leaders of Great Plains College. With over 100 enthusiastic participants, the event was a vibrant exploration of the role of play in enhancing creativity, collaboration, and leadership.
The workshop was spearheaded by our dynamic trio of Kelly Beattie, Stephen, and Jacquie. Together, they facilitated an engaging experience that encouraged participants to delve into their individual play styles and reflect on how play can transform their work environments. The energy in the room was palpable as attendees shared their playful experiences, exchanged ideas, and discovered the impact that incorporating play can have on teamwork and productivity.

To create a lively and interactive atmosphere, each table was identified with color coded tablecloths, serving as a visual representation of the diverse Playsonality™ range across the room. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods to build unique artifacts that symbolized their play identities. This tactile experience fostered creativity and allowed for meaningful self-expression.

In addition to building with bricks, attendees were encouraged to draw pictures and collect various items that resonated with their understanding of play. These artifacts were not just objects; they became reflections of the participants' Playsonality™ and perspectives on play. As everyone showcased their creations, it was inspiring to witness the different interpretations of how play can manifest in various work contexts.
The workshop emphasized that play is not merely a recreational activity but an essential component of a thriving work culture. By harnessing the power of play, leaders can foster innovation, engagement, and a sense of belonging within their teams.
As we wrapped up the event, it was clear that the spirit of play had infused new energy into the leaders of Great Plains College. With newfound insights and connections, the participants left ready to embrace their play identities and integrate playful practices into their workplaces.

Overall, the Playsonality™ workshop was a successful and uplifting experience that reinforced the idea that incorporating play into daily routines can lead to more robust and innovative leadership. We are excited to see how the leaders of Great Plains College will bring this newfound sense of play into their environments, creating spaces where creativity and collaboration flourish.
