This week, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with some of the most dedicated health and safety professionals at one of Canada's larger mines. Over the course of three transformative days, we focused on fostering leadership and innovation within the team.
We kicked off the event with a leadership assessment, allowing each participant to uncover their natural leadership element. This process set a solid foundation for our discussions, enabling individuals to recognize their strengths and areas for growth.
Next, we tackled a complex, fuzzy problem using the Strategic Play® four seasons of innovation framework. Our journey began with playful LEGO® building of the current situation and vision, which encouraged creativity and collaboration. It wasn't long before this playful exercise with a full gap analysis evolved into the development of a robust, year-long strategic plan, uniting the team around common goals.
By the end of the event, each leader walked away with a personalized strategic work plan, reflecting their unique contributions and insights. This interactive project not only engaged everyone but also infused a sense of purpose and meaning into their roles.
As they departed, the team was equipped with a comprehensive play and toolbox filled with strategies to overcome any obstacles. The future of health and safety looks bright with their energy and determination leading the charge!
