The PROTEAN Strategist Decision Manager requires that certain software resources be present on your computer. In particular, a recent Java Runtime Environment must be installed. In addition, if you plan to use the PDF printer option, a PDF conversion program and printer must be installed. Finally, a basic HP Deskjet driver should be installed if you plan to use your team printer during the simulation.

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Installation. (REQUIRED)
   Please note: This installation requires administrative rights!

• To see which version of Java JRE is currently installed, click here.
  
  
• If you already have Version 5.2 or above, you're all set; if not,
  click Download JRE
  
  
• To check for the most recent version on the Java Website, click here.

PDF Freeware Printer Installation: (OPTIONAL)
   Please note: This installation requires administrative rights!

• After clicking Download PDF, follow the instructions. When asked to automatically download and install the PS2PDF converter, say "yes" OR click here.
  
  
• Once installed, open the printer and "print" the test page to a file.
  

HP Deskjet Basic Driver Installation: (OPTIONAL)
   Please note: This installation requires administrative rights!

• After clicking Download Driver, follow the instructions. When you get to the "Connect your device now" screen, check the box that let's you finish the installation and connect the printer at a later time.

Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader: (OPTIONAL)
