Dr. Steven Peterson, founder and Managing Partner, is an expert in the application of sophisticated computer models to business strategy and planning. He is the designer and developer of The Protean Strategist, a business simulation which recently received Human Resource Executive magazine's "Best New Training Product" award. Dr. Peterson uses The Protean Strategist, which provides an ideal laboratory for complex management decision making, to help executive teams explore issues surrounding cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration and team dynamics. In this context, he has worked with both large and small companies around the world on strategy and business planning, strategic marketing, new product development and product management. Prior to founding Strategic Play, Dr. Peterson served for many years as a consultant to multi-national corporations on the design of senior management programs. He holds advanced degrees in mathematics and physics, receiving his doctorate from Cornell University. Dr. Peterson is the author of Business Plans For Dummies, John Wiley & Sons, along with Dr. Paul Tiffany. The book was a short-list finalist for the Global Business Book Awards sponsored by Booz-Allen & Hamilton and the Financial Times. Currently in its 2nd edition, it has sold over 300,000 copies and is available in twelve languages. He is also the author of Business Plans Kit for Dummies. Dr. Peterson is an Executive Education Lecturer at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Paul Tiffany is a Senior Faculty Partner of Strategic Play. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an Adjunct Professor at the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley. A member of the Wharton faculty since 1983 and the Berkeley faculty since 1994, he teaches courses in marketing, management, strategy and planning to students at the undergraduate, graduate and executive level. Before his teaching career, Dr. Tiffany worked as an analyst for a large public sector agency, as an assistant to the president of a large financial services firm, and as a management consultant for several consulting organizations. Today, Professor Tiffany lectures extensively in Asia, Europe, South America, and throughout the United States. He holds an undergraduate degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles, an MBA from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Tiffany is the author of Business Plans For Dummies, John Wiley & Sons, along with Dr. Steven Peterson. Dr. Tiffany resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Peter Jaret is an award-winning writer and business consultant. He has developed strategic marketing plans and materials for a wide range of companies and research institutes. He writes frequently on the subjects of business, health, and science for many national publications, including The New York Times, Health, National Geographic and Reader’s Digest. Mr. Jaret is the co-author of Business Plans Kit for Dummies (John Wiley & Sons) along with Dr. Peterson. He is also the author of Impact: From the Frontlines of Global Health (National Geographic Books) and In Self-Defense: The Human Immune System (Simon Schuster). Mr. Jaret holds degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Virginia, where he taught for several years. Mr. Jaret resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
